Baseline Metering Services

BGE will own, install, and maintain a meter that will provide the necessary information for calculating BGE and electricity supplier charges. This information will vary by tariff schedule. 

Monthly Metered Accounts

Customers receiving service on the following rate schedules will have their meters read on a monthly basis with the associated meter readings, as indicated below.

• Schedules R, ES, G: kWh index readings

• Schedules RL, GS: kWh index readings by various daily time periods designated as BGE's time-of-use schedules.

• Schedule GL, GLP with Capacity Peak Load Contributions (PLC)<600 kW: kWh index readings by various daily time periods and kW demand values (30-minute interval) by various time periods designated as BGE's time-of-use schedules.

Note: Customers in these schedules with Capacity PLCs over 550kW in 2007 and over 500kW in 2005 will require interval meters which will conform to the data below.

Interval Metered Accounts:

• Schedule P customers: kWh and kVAh consumption (energy) data are recorded every fifteen minutes.

• Schedule GL, GLP with Capacity PLC>600 kW: kWh and kVAh consumption (energy) data are recorded every fifteen minutes.
