BGE Programs
BGE Budget Billing
BGE's Budget Billing lets customers
spread out their annual BGE bills into even monthly payments subject
to periodic true-ups. While BGE does not offer this service for
the customer's electricity supplier charges, electricity suppliers can
still calculate their own budget bill amounts to be displayed on BGE's
bill. Click on the BGE Budget Billing link for more information.
Electric Tariffs
BGE Retail Electric Service Tariff
This
tariff provides information on current electric service rates for BGE
customers, along with riders and other documentation, as approved and
regulated by the Maryland Public Service Commission.
FERC Transmission Tariff
Under Federal Energy Regulatory
Commission (FERC) guidelines, public utilities that own, control, or
operate interstate transmission facilities must make their
transmission lines available to all other power-generating companies
by providing open access over these lines for wholesale power
transactions. The following FERC-approved transmission tariffs
describe the types of services provided, schedule of rates, and
associated rules and regulations for companies providing transmission
access.
Provider Of Last Resort (POLR) Information
The Maryland Public Service Commission
approved on April 29, 2003, a settlement that established POLR for
all utilities in Maryland. POLR provides a new fixed price
market based Standard Offer Service for customers when Price Freeze
Service ended and no electricity supplier has been selected. This is being
done to continue the smooth transition to Customer Choice. POLR
provides for market-based rate plans depending on the customer segment
and/or Capacity Peak Load Contribution level. Click on the POLR Information link for more information.
