All electricity suppliers must satisfy BGE’s creditworthiness standards as described in Section 5 of BGE’s Electricity Supplier Coordination Tariff. BGE requires a minimum of $25,000 collateral from its electricity suppliers and that collateral may be satisfied by one of the following methods:

Letter of Credit from a bank PDF
Guaranty from an entity with a relationship with the electricity supplier PDF
Surety Bond from an insurance company PDF
Cash Collateral held by BGE PDF
Electric Supplier Tariff PDF
