BGE's Electric Choice Program utilizes Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Transaction guidelines approved by the Maryland Public Service Commission (PSC) to exchange data with electricity suppliers.
Prior to becoming qualified in BGE's Electric Choice Program, suppliers are required to complete EDI testing.
The Electricity Supplier Application Package and Process folder will provide all documents required to start the application process to become an Electricity Supplier in BGE's service territory.
The CDWeb provides all electricity suppliers, brokers, aggregators, third-party consultants, and curtailment service providers with the capability to access 12 months of electric historical customer data as well as 12 months of interval data for electric accounts that have interval metering. In addition, it includes account specific information such as name, bill group, PLC values, etc. Users are required to obtain a Letter of Authorization (LOA) from the customer prior to submitting a request.
